This series of blogs presents you the members of JCO’s cool team. May we present to you project coordinator Hilkka.
Tell us about yourself – what do you do at JCO?
I coordinate various projects and initiatives at JCO. After growing up in beautiful Hanko, near the sea, I have now ended up in Tammisaari with my family. When I’m not running projects at work, I coordinate three kids, a husband, and a dog at home. I also run the Piphyllan gallery with Monica.
What did you do before JCO?
I used to run my own company, and before that, I worked as a supervisor at the food supply of the Finnish defence forces (called Leijona Catering these days).
What has been your coolest project at JCO?
One project worth a mention is undoubtedly BSAG’s annual Christmas project which brings up very important themes this year. In fact, sea and Christmas are two things particularly close to my heart. I have also greatly enjoyed setting up and running the Piphyllan gallery.
What do you do when not working?
When I’m not working, I can be seen jogging, walking my dog, spending time at our summer house on an island, knitting, or appreciating various culinary delights. And geocaching is our family’s newest weekend hobby; it helps us get plenty of fresh air and quality time together!
What drives you mad?
Inefficiency and incompetence.
Three favourite online services or apps you like to use?
Instagram, Spotify, Facebook.
Best about Raasepori?
The sea and the idyllic small town feel.
Which software are you running on your computer right now?
Chrome, Drive, Slack, Active Collab, Trello, Thunderbird, Excel, Power Point Spotify, Skype, and Facebook.
